Truck Rentals Inc. - Press Releases

|
7/1/09 For immediate release: It has recently come to our attention that there are rumors about Star either going out of business or selling out to a competitor. We want to assure you that these rumors are completely untrue. The Company has been in business over 100 years and owned by the Bylengas since 1916. We hope to keep it in the family for another 100 years at least. It is true that given the current state of the economy we have had to make certain cutbacks. Those cutbacks should in no way impact the level of service to our customers or our ability to pay our vendors. We simply must consider the bottom line and make appropriate changes to stay competitive in a dismal economic environment. We appreciate the trust and confidence our customers, vendors and employees
have placed in us.
9/29/06 For immediate release: Star Truck Rentals announced the opening of a new full service facility in Saginaw, just off I-75 near M-81. Replacing their Bay City location, this 12,000 sq foot maintenance facility has three drive-through bays plus a separate wash bay. In addition to fleet maintenance, the facility will offer rentals, leasing, fuel and safety services. Grand Rapids-based Star Truck Rentals is 100+ year old family business with 16 locations in Michigan and one in Goshen, Indiana.
10/23/06 For immediate release: Star Truck Rentals announced the appointment of Michelle Usselman to
the position of Director of Safety. In that role, she will oversee the
company’s commercial driver license testing and training programs
as well as the Star Substance Abuse Consortium. She replaces Don Cook
who retired after some 14 years with the company. Star is a Grand Rapids-based
transportation services company with 17 locations throughout Michigan
and Northern Indiana.
